Another Old Resident Answers Last Call

Mrs. Wm. Koch Died Thursday Evening

Mrs. Wm. Koch died at her home in Shiloh township at 12:30 last Thursday night. She had been confined to her bed for thirteen weeks with liver trouble and other complications. Her husband died the 6th of last October and Mrs. Koch failed very rapidly after that time. Funeral services conducted by Rev. Heinrichs were held in the Lutheran church of Shiloh township Monday afternoon and there was an unusually large attendance.

Mrs. Koch was born in Westfailen, Germany, seventy years ago the 25th of last July. Forty-two years ago she came to this country with her husband. They lived in New York two years after which time they came to Grundy county and resided here up to the time of their death.

Mrs. Koch is survived by five children. The children are Henry, Mrs. John Harms, Will, Mrs. Henry Giesking, and Fritz. All of the children were present at the funeral.

Relatives from a distance who were here at the funeral were Conrad Giesking and wife, Fred Mayland and wife, Dick Senne, Mrs. Henry Mayland and Dick Sprick, Jr., all from Titonka.
