Lois Jean Francis, 60 of Raymond, Iowa, died from natural causes on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at her residence in Raymond.

Lois was born September 4, 1945, in Eldora, Iowa, daughter of Edward M. and Esther (Brower) Aswegan. She was united in marriage to Donald Francis on December 6, 1976 at the United Methodist Church in Reinbeck. Lois worked for Western Dressing in Grundy Center and for Plastronics in Grundy Center for 10 years. Lois was a member of the AMVETS Auxiliary Post #31.

She is survived by her husband: Donald of Raymond, Iowa; children: Gregory and wife Jeanette Francis of Waterloo, Iowa, Dawn Francis of Winterset, Iowa, Michelle and husband Forrest "Bud" McVay of Winterset, Iowa, and Brad Francis of Raymond, Iowa; 8 grandchildren, and two sisters: Evelyn and her husband Russell Burdick of Reinbeck and Dorothy Weltha of Reinbeck, Iowa. She is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother-in-law: Dennis Weltha.
