Bernice M. Hohenberger, 74, of Dike, Iowa, died Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa.

Bernice was born May 5, 1930 in Ellsworth, Minnesota, to Jacob and Anna (Zaph) Solma. Bernice graduated from Grundy Center High School in 1949. On June 3, 1949 she was married to Roy W. Hohenberger at the First Baptist Church in Grundy Center, Iowa. The couple made their home of 55 years on a farm near Dike, Iowa. Bernice was a member of the First Baptist Church in Grundy Center.

Survivors include her husband Roy; two sons: Craig and his wife Lois Hohenberger of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Curt and his wife Shawn Hohenberger of Waterloo, Iowa; daughter Cathy (Hoagie) Hohenberger of Waterloo, Iowa; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a special family friend, Pam Jensen of Waterloo, Iowa.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents.
