Frank Weaver Early Grundy Resident Dies at Whitten
Frank W. Weaver who was born on a Felix township farm 64 years ago died at his home in Whitten last Thursday. Funeral services were held at Whitten Saturday. Burial was in the Benson cemetery.
Mr. Weaver was born March 24, 1866, on a farm near Whitten in Grundy county. He was married to Annie E. Day, also of Whitten, June 14, 1899, and two children were born to them. Some years ago Mr. Weaver met with an accident which left him helpless and his only means of moving about was in a wheel chair. He lived all his life on a farm in Felix township, until about ten years ago when he moved his family to Whitten. During the time of his life he made a home for three of his grandchildren.
Besides his widow he is survived by a son, Donald, of Whitten and one daughter, Mrs. Vera Clapsaddle of Union, two brothers, C. A. Weaver of Des Moines, and W. B. Weaver of Green Mountain and ten grandchildren.
