Mrs. Henry D. Riant died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Walters, at Waterloo at six o'clock Saturday evening. She was 72 years old. The body will be kept at the O'Keefe & Towne mortuary in Waterloo for a time until burial can be made in Memorial park cemetery. Mrs. Riant was born at Hubbard, Indiana, August 3, 1856. Her maiden name was Mary Ann Piel. She had lived in Waterloo about 20 years and prior to that she made her home in Wellsburg. She is survived by her husband, three daughters and two sons. The sons are Fred from Wellsburg and Owen from Wisconsin. The daughters are Mrs. Walters and Mrs. C. A. Marquart of Waterloo; Mrs. A. P. Winters of Detroit and Mrs. Henry Kuehn, of Orange township, Black Hawk county.
