Wm. Stover Dies Wednesday

Was a Resident of Grundy County 58 Years

William Henry Stover died at his home in Conrad Wednesday, May 17th. Two weeks before his death he suffered a stroke of paralysis from which he was unable to recover. He was a long time resident of Grundy county, coming here with his parents 58 years ago.

Mr. Stover was born at Adeline, Illinois on October 4th, 1864, leaving him 64 years and 7 months old at the time of his death. The family came direct from Ogle county, Illinois, to Grundy county and they moved on a farm four miles north of Conrad. Mr. Stover continued to reside on this farm until he moved to the town of Conrad, twenty-five years ago. His parents died fifteen years before.

Mr. Stover leaves to mourn his loss two brothers, Chas. and Jerry Stover, both of Conrad; five sister, Mrs. Ella Smith of Burlington, Washington, Mrs. Emma Lighter of Conrad, Mrs. Mary Martin of Magnet, Texas, Mrs. Addie Clinton of Warba, Minn., and Miss Elsie Stover at home; besides a large number of distant relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at the home at Conrad Friday afternoon. Rev. Sandbach, pastor of the Methodist church at Conrad, officiated. Burial was in the Conrad cemetery.
