James Doorley Dies Suddenly

James Doorley died very suddenly while seated on the porch at his home in Waterloo Tuesday. Heart failure was the cause. Mr. Doorley was for many years a resident of Grant township, this county, and removed to Waterloo two years ago. He still owns his farm in Grant township.

Mr. Doorley was 58 years old. He was born in Cedar Falls August 1st, 1869. He went to school in Cedar Falls and later attended State Teachers College. He came to Grundy county in 1880 and moved on a farm in Grant township. He was married in 1899 to Johanna Flynn at Grant Center. The wife died two years ago last March.

The surviving children are one son, Stephen, and two daughters, Ruth and Genevieve, who are at home. There are two surviving brothers, P. A. Doorley, of Cedar Falls, and John Doorley, of Cedar Rapids.

Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Catholic church in Waterloo at nine o'clock this morning. Interment was made by the side of the wife in the Catholic cemetery at Grant Center.
