Mrs. Leigh Died Wednesday
Succumbs to Injuries Received in a Fall a Few Weeks Ago
Mrs. Francis Leigh passed away about three o'clock Wednesday afternoon, June 13th, 1928, at the home of her daughter, Miss Ida, with whom she had been staying since coming to Grundy Center a few years ago.
The direct cause of Mrs. Leigh's death was the result of a fall she met with while about her housework some three weeks or more ago. In this fall she received a broken right hip, and only a short time previous she received a broken arm in a fall in the house. These two accidents coupled with her advanced age hastened her death. She would have been eighty years of age on her next birthday.
Mrs. Leigh's husband passed away about three years ago. She leaves besides her two daughters, Miss Ida and Mrs. Grace Lines, of this city, two sons, Arthur, Chicago, and Verne, of Rockford, Iowa.
Rev. Frank O. Winslow, pastor of the M.E. church, will have charge of the funeral, which will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at her late home. Interment will be in the Grundy Center cemetery.
