Obituary of Nora Myrtle Sweet

Nora Myrtle Sweet was born July 15, 1893, at Lincoln, Tama county, Iowa, and passed away June 8, 1928, at her home in Amarillo, Texas.

Nora Sweet was married May 11, 1915, to Thurman Davidson, of Winnebago City, Minn., at the home of her sister, Mrs. L. E. Stuck, in Grundy Center. Mr. and Mrs. Davidson went to Minnesota, where they made their home for eight years. From there they moved to Amarillo, Texas, where Mr. Davidson was employed by the Santa Fe railroad shops.

Mrs. Davidson had been ill for almost six months, though the message stating her death was a great shock to her relatives and friends.

The remains were brought to Grundy Center by her husband, and funeral services held at the home of her sister, Mrs. Walter Palmer, Monday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. H. C. Chambers of the First Presbyterian church officiating. Interment was in the family lot at Morrison beside her father, who preceded her in death one year and four months ago.

She leaves to mourn her loss a faithful and loving husband, her aged mother, Mrs. Eliza Sweet, her sisters, Emma Nielson, Maggie Hodge, Caroline Stuck, Pearl Palmer, Mae Walker and Laura Ireland; her brothers, Jess Sweet, Fred Sweet and Geo. Sweet.

Those from a distance who attended the funeral are her sister, Mrs. Hodge, her aged mother, Mrs. Eliza Sweet, her brothers, Jess Sweet and family, all of Winnebago City, Minn., Geo. Sweet and family, Marshalltown, and her nephew and family of Shell Rock.
