Early Grundy Resident Dies In German Twp.

Mrs. Anton Oelman Passed Away at Hospital Last Friday

Mrs. Anton Oelman, of German township, died at the Deaconess hospital in Marshalltown last Friday. She had suffered a stroke of paralysis two weeks before. Shortly after she was taken to the hospital for treatment. She appeared to be recovering satisfactorily from the effects of the stroke and was ready to return home when she suffered a second stroke and died a short time after. Her remains were taken to her home. Funeral services were held at the Engelke church in German township on Tuesday. Burial was in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Mrs. Oelman was 68 years old. She was born in German township and made her home there continually. Her family were among the earliest residents of Grundy county. --paper torn and rest of article missing--
