Tjark Fluth died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Cobus VanHeiden, in German township last Friday. Old age was largely the cause of his death. He was confined to his bed for about a month before the end came. He was 83 years old and had been a resident of German township for about fifty years. Since the death of his wife about two years ago he had been making his home with his daughter, Mrs. VanHeiden. Funeral services were held in the Engelke church in German township Tuesday and they were very largely attended. The Fluth family resided on the home place in German township from the time they came here until the wife's death. Since that time one of the sons, Fred, has been living on the place. The following children survive the father: Mrs. Eilt Krull from Buffalo Center, Fred Fluth and Mrs. C. VanHeiden from German township, Mrs. John Hogo from Buffalo Center. All the children were able to be here to attend the funeral.
