Albert W. Yeager Dies at Waterloo
Albert W. Yeager who for many years resided in Grundy Center, died in a hospital in Independence, Iowa, last Saturday. He had been in failing health for some time. He was 80 years old. He was engaged in contract work in Grundy county for several years when he resided in Grundy Center.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon at the Ferree Funeral Chapel in Grundy Center. The services were conducted by Dr. J. A. Haehlen, pastor of Calvary Evangelical church of Waterloo. Burial was in the Grundy Center Cemetery.
He was born on Sept. 20, 1870, in Indian Town, Ia. He had resided successively at Ft. Tour, Marshalltown, Grundy Center and Waterloo. His last place of employment was at the Repass Auto Co., now the Wheeler Motor Co.
Mr. Yeager was twice married. His first marriage was to Julia Lebedee of Tama in 1894. She died in 1909. He married Mrs. Emma Erickson of Grundy Center in 1918. He was a member of Calvary Evangelical church, Waterloo.
Surviving are his wife, 109 Commercial street, two sons, C. Raymond of Gary, Ind.; Paul of Grundy Center; three daughters, Miss Blanche Yeager of Williamsport, Pa.; Mrs. A. B. C. Anderson, Bovy, Minn.; and Mrs. R. F. Ritchie of Waterloo; four stepchildren, Mrs. George Somerville, Ft. Dodge, Ia.; Mrs. M. Lage, Lincoln, Ia.; Mrs. Samuel Wyeth, Indianapolis, Ind.; and Verner Erickson of Waterloo.
Five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
