Aplington Shoe Repairer Buried Last Saturday

Last rites were held at Aplington Saturday for Popke Spree, who died at his home in Aplington last Wednesday after an illness of seven years. He operated a shoe repairing shop in Aplington many years. He was 84 years old. Services were held in the home. Burial was in the cemetery at Stout.

Popke Spree, who died at his home in Aplington Last Thursday after having been bedfast for the past 7 years following a stroke, was buried in the family lot in Stout last Saturday. Surviving are his wife and four married children and their families.
