Henry Freese Dies Tuesday Evening

Henry Freese who lived in Grundy county continuously for 78 years, died Tuesday evening at seven o'clock at his home in Fern. He was 82 years old.

He had been in failing health the past six months. His condition became serious during the past week.

Funeral services will be held at the home at one o'clock Friday and later at Salem Lutheran church north of Fern. The services will be conducted by the resident pastor, Rev. Alfred Schumm.

Mr. Freese was born in Germany in 1868. At the age of four years he came with his parents to this country. They located on a farm where the parents spent their later years. Mr. Freese during his 78 years in this county, resided continually in Lincoln or Beaver townships.

Mrs. Freese died in 1942. Surviving are one son Tom and one daughter, Mrs. Peter Pruisner. There are eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Other surviving relatives are two brothers, Nick from Dike and John from Pipestone. One sister, Mrs. L. E. Pennington, resides in Wanatchee, Washington.
