William Kennedy Dies In Waterloo Hospital

William Boone Kennedy died in a Waterloo hospital Monday. He suffered from cancer of the throat the past two years. He was 74 years old.

Funeral services were held at the Coffman Funeral Home at ten o'clock Wednesday morning. The services were conducted by Rev. Fr. Kress, pastor of the Grundy Catholic church. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery in Grundy Center.

William Kennedy was born in Palo Alto county, Iowa, and grew up there. He was a farm laborer several years and later a cook for a railway construction crew. He came to Grundy Center 24 years ago. He was cook in a restaurant for a time and for several years was night clerk at the Columbia hotel. He had no known relatives.
