Death of Former Conrad Lady

Mrs. Herbert W. Woods, of Minneapolis, born and reared in Grundy county, died Saturday at San Pedro, Calif., where she had gone for her health. Death was sudden and unexpected, but the cause was not stated. Mr. Woods was in Minneapolis at the time of his wife's passing.

Mrs. Woods was born Fern Alta Wood, in Conrad, Dec. 23, 1898, and she lived in this county until her marriage, March 12, 1919, to Herbert Woods. Following their marriage they went to St. Paul, where Mr. Woods was in the employ of the government.

Mrs. Woods is survived by her husband, her mother, Mrs. Alice Wood, of Conrad; a brother, Harry Wood, of Marshall county; and a sister, Mrs. E. G. Everist, of Racine, Wis.

The body was brought to Marshalltown where funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon. Burial was in the Conrad cemetery.
