Ann Fleener, 75, of Grundy Center, died Friday, December 10, 2004, at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital under the Care of the Cedar Valley Hospice. Memorial Graveside Services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Grundy Center. A memorial fund has been established. Engelkes - Abels Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Ann was born June 29, 1929 in Clarksville, Iowa the daughter of Matthew and Jennie (Wolters) Frericks. She attended and graduated from Greene High School in 1947. On November 6, 1951 she was united in marriage to William Earl Fleener. Ann worked for Sears - Robuck and Co. for 15 years. She then worked for the Department of Human Services in Volunteer Action for 15 years. Earl passed away on January 27, 2000.

Survivors include her son: Clair and his wife Stacey of Omaha, Nebraska; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Rena Town of Indianola, Iowa and Grace Johnson of Alliance, Nebraska

She was preceded in death by her husband Earl in 2000, her parents, a stepson: Jimmy Fleener; and a stepdaughter: Janet Anderson; three brothers: Lindy, George and LeRoy Frericks; and a sister Alice Druvenga.
