Lucy Connell Passes Away Suddenly After A Very Brief Illness

Miss Lucy Connell, aged 21, youngest living daughter of Mr. James Connell, of this city, died very suddenly and unexpectedly at about three o'clock Tuesday afternoon of this week at her father's home.

While Lucy had not been in the best of health for some time, she was able to be around and was keeping house for her father. Only last Sunday she accompanied friends to Cedar Falls for the day.

Monday evening she was taken suddenly and critically ill and while --unreadable-- soon lapsed into unconsciousness and passed away as stated above.

Lucy's death as she was entering young womanhood is particularly sad and the bereaved father and relatives have the sympathy of the entire community.

The funeral services were held this forenoon at 10 o'clock at the Sacred Heart church in this city, Rev. Father Norris, of Iowa Falls, preaching, and assisted in requiem high mass by Father Dowling, of Eldora, and Father Boyle, of Sacred Heart church of this place.

Those here from a distance to attend the funeral are: Sister Mary Adrienne (sister), Sister Mary Ann Cieta, Chicago; James Hogan (uncle), Fairbury, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Will Meaney, (sister) of Jesup; Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Hanisch, Shell Rock; Geo. Connell, Cedar Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Will Connell, Dubuque; Miss Mildred Cook, Corwith; Mrs. Dennis Powers, Fort Dodge.
