Reinbeck Woman Killed In West

Mrs. Boyd Thompson Killed in Auto Accident in Idaho

Mrs. Boyd Thompson was killed in an automobile accident near Boise, Idaho, last Saturday. Her husband, who was driving the car, was seriously hurt about the head and body and he was at once taken to the hospital at Boise City, near which place the accident took place. Mrs. Thompson was killed instantly.

The accident took place at the base of what is known as Freeze Out Hill, one of the difficult hills on the highways of Idaho. The driver had gone over the highest hill and had gotten up all the speed possible to go up another steep grade when the car skidded and turned over twice.

Mr. and Mrs. Thompson were married at Reinbeck about seven weeks ago and immediately after their marriage they left in a new Chevrolet touring car on a honeymoon trip to the west. They were on their way home when the accident took place.

Mrs. Thompson's maiden name was Elise Koberg. Her father lives at Lincoln, Iowa. For ten years prior to her marriage Miss Koberg made her home with the George Saul family at Reinbeck. She was a graduate of the Reinbeck high school and of Cornell college. She was twenty-three years old.

Mr. Thompson, who is also a graduate of Cornell college, has been coach in the Carroll high school. Both he and his wife were engaged as teachers in the Carroll school for the coming years.

The remains of Mrs. Thompson reached Marshalltown this morning and they were taken to the George Saul home at Reinbeck. Mr. Thompson and his brother from Washington accompanied the remains. Funeral services will be at Reinbeck at 2:30 Friday afternoon.
