Henrietta Pruis, 95, of Grundy Center, Iowa, died Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at Grundy County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care in Grundy Center, Iowa. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 10:30 am at the Pleasant Valley Reformed Church Cemetery, just west of Fern, IA. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be directed to Pleasant Valley Reformed Church in Henrietta's name.

Henrietta Carrie Pruis was born on March 31, 1919, in rural Holland, Iowa, the daughter of Eilert and Trientje (Meester) Pruis. She grew up in rural Grundy County, and attended country school. Her family moved to Grundy Center, Iowa in 1959. She did house cleaning and was caregiver to many. Henrietta was a lifelong member of the Pleasant Valley Reformed Church, which she attended till her health prevented her from attending.

Henrietta enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Lourine Pruis of Holland; a niece, Laurie (Randy) Murra of Wellsburg; a nephew, Tony (JoEllen) Pruis of Waterloo; 4 great-nephews, Jerod (Laci) Murra, Trent (Lisa) Murra, Jesse Murra and Zachary Pruis; one great-great-nephew, Bentley Murra; two great-great-nieces, Maeley Murra and Kenleigh Murra.

Henrietta was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Marlyn, two infant brothers, two sisters, Gertie and Mareka Pruis.
