The funeral services for the late Mrs. A. D. Wiley were held at the family home on Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Spencer Baker, assisted by Rev. C. A. Byler.

A large number of friends and relatives were present to pay this last means of respect.

"Grandma Wiley," as she was known, was 81 years, 4 months and 6 days old at the time of her death. She was always hale and hearty and able to attend to all her household duties until her last illness.

Mariah Frances Conrad was born in Indiana August 23, 1846, and moved with her father's family to Iowa in 1853. She was married to Allen D. Wiley October 14, 1866. To this union were born nine children: Mrs. Gertrude DeVries, of Des Moines; Mrs. Julia Harrison, of Glendale, Arizona; Mrs. Jennie Given, of Des Moines; Mrs. Jessie Schultz, of Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs. Ruth Schubert, of Chicago; V. L. Wiley of Conrad; H. D. Wiley of Detroit, Mich.; John Wiley, of Nora Springs, and Mrs. G. B. Ralston, of near Conrad. They were all present at the funeral but Mrs. Harrison. She also leaves to mourn her loss four sisters and two brothers, a number of grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Burial was in the Conrad cemetery.
