Pauline Anna Hasbrouck was born July 21st, 1923, near Grundy Center, being the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Hasbrouck, of this place.

About six weeks previous to her death she was taken ill with what finally terminated in basal meningitis and was removed to the Deaconess hospital at Marshalltown where for five weeks every remedy known to medical science was tried without the desired results and she passed away at the hospital at 8:40 on the morning of Dec. 3rd, 1924, aged 16 months and 11 days.

Funeral services were held at the home Friday, Dec. 5th, at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Geo. Woodall, of the M.E. church of this city. Burial was in the Beckman cemetery. Besides her parents, Little Pauline leaves two brothers, Max and Paul, the latter a twin.
