Obituary of Christian Flater

Christian Flater was born August 27th, 1902, in Beaver township, Grundy county, the son of Martin and Jennie Flater, nee Buskohl. His mother died when he was eight years of age and since that time he has made his home with his grandmother, Mrs. Christian Flater.

In 1915 after his father's second marriage he moved with his father's family to Minnesota. About a year ago he returned to Grundy county and worked for various farmers until his health began to fail.

An examination proved that he was afflicted with caner and on July 6th last he was taken to the Grundy Center hospital for treatment. He passed away October 30th, 1924, at the age of 22 years, 2 months, and 3 days.

He leaves besides his parents, two brothers (two brothers having preceded him in death), two grandmothers and other relatives.

His remains were laid in their final resting place in the Drake cemetery on Monday, Nov. 3rd.
