Mrs. Marie Johnson, mother of Hans Johnson and Mrs. P. Larsen, of Dike, passed away at Cedar Falls last Wednesday night after a short illness. Her death is extremely sad, coming as it does just a few days after the death of her son, P. A. Johnson, who passed away Sunday morning. Mrs. Johnson was one of the old settlers in the Dike vicinity and was dearly loved by all who knew her. She leaves to mourn her loss three sons and five daughters, beside a number of other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Johnson of Cedar Falls, were conducted at the Fredsville Danish Lutheran church on Saturday afternoon. She was ill for only a very short time and her death is extremely sad, coming so soon after the death of her son, Peter A. Johnson. She leaves to mourn her loss three sons and five daughters, besides many other relatives and friends.
