-----------------------------------------------

Ellen Ann Yeager was born August 1, 1848, in Dauphin county, Penn., and passed away February 18, 1924, at 7 p.m. When but a small child she came with her parents to Warren, Ill., where she grew to young womanhood. She was one of a family of eleven children, all of whom have departed, excepting one sister and two brothers.

She was married to John Kessler following the Civil war at Rockford, Ill., on October 24, 1867. They lived at Rockford until 1882 when they moved to Holland, Grundy county, Iowa. The father died in 1886. Here she reared her family.

She married Henry F. Sinn in 1897 and moved to Lincoln a year following. Here they remained a number of years. Then they returned to their old home in Holland. She later moved to a farm with Harry near Estherville, where she lived for two years, then returned to Lincoln where she has since lived.

She leaves to mourn her loss a daughter, Mrs. Ed. Castle, of Hazel, So. Dakota, and four sons, Harry, of Lincoln, Iowa; William, Holland; B. F. of Marshalltown; Jerry of Kansas City, Kansas, all of whom were present, 14 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one sister and two brothers. She was very kind and thoughtful of the comfort of her family, no task was too great for her loving hands to undertake, and the memory of her kindness shall live on.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. B. H. Guthrie at the Community House in Lincoln Friday afternoon, Feb. 22. Burial was in the old family lot in the Grundy Center cemetery.
