Florence N. Dudolski, 96, of the Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center of the Western Home Communities, formerly of Waterloo, died there on Monday February 10, 2014.

Florence was born on November 10, 1917 in Reinbeck, the daughter of Fred Phillip and Ella F. Koch Schmidt. She graduated from Reinbeck High School 1935.

Florence married Raymond Dudolski June 5, 1938 in Iowa City. He died Dec. 25, 1986. She worked in the stockroom and as a receiving clerk at J.C. Penney for 30 years retiring in 1983.

Florence was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was a member of United Methodist Women. She had been a member of Schoitz Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered with RSVP for many years. Florence enjoyed needlework, reading, and word puzzles. Florence and Raymond often traveled to Winnipeg to visit his family. In later years she took several YWCA bus trips. She was especially fond of walking to wherever she needed to be regardless of the weather.

Florence is survived by a son Richard Dudolski and his wife Connie of Unionville, MO and a daughter Shirley Schoessler and her husband Phil of Dike. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren: Rebecca (Tony) Masters and their children Andrea, April, Jacob, and Matthew; Julie (Jay) Eckhardt and their children Jared (Charity) and Jonna; Robert Dudolski; Susan Dudolski; Dan (Sheila) Schoessler and their children Tianna (Anthony) Cervantes and Ray and Abby; and Deborah (Wes) McLey.

She is preceded in death by a sister Eleanor Freed.
