Faith Naomi Engelkes, 59, of Grundy Center, died from natural causes on Thursday, February 9, 2006 at the Grundy Care Center in Grundy Center. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Faith was born December 27, 1946, in Grundy Center, Iowa, daughter of Bernard M. and Leona (Sherman) Engelkes. She attended River Hills in Cedar Falls for 15 years and then worked at Goodwill for 15 years. Faith had a special interest and could memorize Scripture. Faith also enjoyed doing artwork. Faith was a member of the Pleasant Valley Reformed church since 1974, where she enjoyed attending the women's group meetings. Faith came down with Alzheimer's and then 4 years ago she moved to the Grundy Care Center in Grundy Center.

Surviving is her parents: Bernard and Leona Engelkes of Grundy Center, Iowa; a brother: Dr. James Engelkes and his wife Marcia of East Lansing, Michigan; a niece and nephew: Ross and Traci.

Preceding her in death were her maternal and paternal grandparents.
