Raymond W. Muller 90, of Grundy Center, Iowa, died Thursday, December 25, 2014, at the Grundy Care Center while under the care of Care Initiative Hospice. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014, 10:30 A.M. at Bethany Presbyterian Church in Grundy Center. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home in Grundy Center. Burial will follow funeral services at Rose Hill Cemetery in Grundy Center. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Raymond William Muller son of Sievert and Reka (Eckhoff) Muller was born on November 11, 1924 in Holland, Iowa. He received his education from Grundy county rural school. On August 31, 1948 he married Donna Van Horn at the Colfax Center Presbyterian Church in rural Holland, Iowa. The couple resided in the rural Reinbeck area where they farmed until 1981, when they moved to Grundy Center. From 1981 until his retirement in 1997, Ray worked as custodian for the Grundy County Courthouse.

Survivors include his loving wife Donna, of 66 years; two daughters, Darlene (John) Kostohryz of Cresco, Joyce (Paul Rottinghaus) of Waterloo; son, Wendel (Delane) Muller of Nashua; three grandchildren; six step grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by seven sisters, five brothers, and one grandson.
