Bernice M. Flatterich, 101, of Gladbrook, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at Westbrook Acres, in Gladbrook, Iowa. A Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. on Saturday January 10, 2015 at French-Hand Funeral Home in Reinbeck. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place immediately following the funeral service at the Reinbeck Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church in Gladbrook in Bernice's name.

Bernice was born on September 9, 1913 near Lincoln, Iowa, the daughter of Adolph and Anna (Wiese) Voege. In 1920 the family moved to Reinbeck, where she attended school graduating with the class of 1932. In January of 1944 she married Elmer Flatterich of Reinbeck and moved to his home farm for 20 years. In 1965 they moved to a farm near Gladbrook, Iowa. She was member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Reinbeck and later joined Christ Lutheran Church in Gladbrook.

Bernice is survived by her nephew, Virgil (Audrey) Ehrig.

She was preceded in death by her parents Anna and Adolph; husband Elmer; son Paul; brother, Lee.
