Frederick DeVries, son of Mr. and Mrs. Toby DeVries, former Reinbeck people, died Friday, Dec. 21st, at the St. Joseph's hospital at New Hampton. He was taken sick November 23rd with mastoid trouble which developed into brain fever and at the last into an uncontagious spinal trouble which brought on the end. He was born on a farm north of Reinbeck Sept. 25, 1909, and lived there until 1919 when he moved with his parents to their present home near Fredericksburg. He is survived by the parents and four brothers and six sisters.
