Mourn Death Of Little Boy

Home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. A. Meyers Saddened by Death of Only Child

On Dec. 28th, while the Christmas bells were still echoing over the world, little Howard George Meyers left this world of grief and pain and returned to his Maker where the bells are always chiming and where pain and sorrow is no more.

He was playing with his Christmas toys at noon when he was taken with convulsions, one following another in rapid succession, and at five o'clock, in spite of all that medical aid and loving hands could do, his little life was snuffed out. He was born on Oct. 10, 1920, and at the time of his death was 3 years, 2 months and 18 days old.

Howard was a bonny little boy, bright and lovable, and his sudden departure from this world was a terrible shock to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Meyers, who are crushed with grief, and who only last May buried another baby, Bobby Ray.

The sympathy of the entire community is with the parents and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Frakes and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Meyers.

Dear sweet boy, the darkness gathers,
As we sit to think of you;
Back to when life's day were sunny,
Back to when life's skies were blue,
When your little childish laughter,
Sounded thru the silent hall.
Now we list in vain for footsteps,
Footsteps that will never fall.
Oh! we know, sweet darling Howard,
Tho you lie beneath the sod,
That your soul is safe in heaven,
Back to Bobby Rae and God.
