Walter Reynolds Dies; Former Area Resident

W. Walter Reynolds Sr., 67, a former resident of Whitten, Conrad and Gladbrook, died at his home in Waterloo last Tuesday morning of a heart attack.

Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon in Waterloo with burial in the Conrad cemetery.

He was born Sept. 23, 1896, at Whitten, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Reynolds. He married Mabel Rosenberger at Marshalltown on June 11, 1916. The couple lived in Gladbrook and Conrad before moving to Waterloo in 1941.

A veteran of World War I, he had been employed by Rath Packing Company for 25 years until his retirement in 1961.

Survivors include his widow; a son, Walter Wayne Reynolds Jr., Waterloo; a daughter, Mrs. Harold Minnich of Conrad; a sister, Miss Mae Reynolds of Des Moines; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
