Harm Kaput, 71, Dies At Hospital
Harm Kaput, 71, of Conrad, died at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Grundy Co. Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Conrad Meth. church, with Rev. R. O. Grote officiating. Burial was in the Conrad cemetery.
Special music for the service was provided by Russell Kruse, soloist, and Mrs. A. J. Walling, organist.
Pall bearers were Gary, Roger, Randy and Gregory Kaput, Keith Stover and Kevin Chizek. Flower attendants were Mrs. Donald Stover and Mrs. Ray Luethje.
Harm Kaput was born at Wymer, Germany, June 2, 1891, and passed away February 20, 1964. Coming to the United States in 1906, he was married to Reka Kalkwarf on February 7, 1917, at Stout.
Mr. and Mrs. Kaput farmed in the Beaman and Conrad vicinity until 1953, when they retired and moved to Conrad, where they have since resided.
Preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Harm is survived by his wife and two sons, John M. and Reinheart, of Conrad; four grandsons and one great-granddaughter; three brothers, Reent of London, Minnesota, John of Beaman, and Kurt of Gladbrook; besides more distant relatives and friends.
