Lifetime Resident Of Whitten Dies

Services for Floyd Long, 60, a lifelong Whitten resident, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Biersborn funeral home at Union, with burial in the Benson cemetery.

Mr. Long died at his home on Tuesday morning following a lingering illness.

He was born June 19, 1904, at Whitten, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Anson Long.

The widow survives along with a daughter, Betty, Des Moines; two sons, Darwin, at home; Carl, Waterloo; three sisters, Mrs. Golda Eichorn, Mrs. Rosie Aman and Mrs. Fern Baker, all of Marshalltown.
