Henry L. Raab Dies At Grundy Hosp.
Henry L. Raab died about one o'clock Sunday morning at the Grundy hospital, where he had been a patient the past 13 weeks. He had been afflicted with diabetes. Mr. Raab was 46 years old.
The body was taken to the Engelkes Funeral Home, where burial arrangements were made. Services were held Tuesday afternoon at the First Presbyterian church in Grundy Center. Rev. Duane Heap officiated at the service. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery, Grundy Center.
Mr. Raab was born at Mott, North Dakota, Sept. 8, 1918. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Raab. He came to Grundy county 30 years ago and worked on a farm.
On January 1, 1949, he was married at Grundy Center to Jean Weseman. The couple lived on a Grundy county farm where he had been employed. Nine years ago he rented the Boven farm southwest of Grundy Center where he and his wife since lived.
The couple had no children. During the past four years a niece and nephew have made their home with them. They are Larry and Carol McClanathan.
Surviving are the parents at Mott, North Dakota; three sisters and one brother. The sisters are Mrs. Francis Zoeller, Mott, N.D.; Mrs. Richard McClanathan, Oakfield, Wisconsin; Mrs. Jerry Burke, Sheboygan, Wis. The brother is Verne Raab, Mott, North Dakota.
