Roy Hale Funeral Here On Saturday

Roy I. Hale, longtime resident of Conrad, died last Wednesday of a heart attack at Harrison, Arkansas.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Conrad Methodist church, with Rev. R. O. Grote in charge. Burial was in the Conrad cemetery.

Casket bearers were Harold Bristley, Ralph Bristley, E. E. Jebousek, Grant Frier, Verne Reece and Willard Dielschneider. Soloist was Mrs. Grant Frier, and Miss Evelyn Stevens organist. Flower attendants were Mrs. Ralph Bristley and Mrs. Harold Bristley.

Roy Ivan Hale, son of Skyler and Flora Gilson Hale, was born at Myron, Allamakee county, July 22, 1885.

Mr. Hale was married to Ella Hiner, January 27, 1909, at Endicott, Nebraska and for 20 years following their marriage they lived in Nebraska after which they came to the Conrad vicinity, where they have resided for 36 years.

Mr. Hale was a familiar figure around this community, where he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Surviving him are his widow; three daughters, Twila Gienger, and Bethel McAllister of Conrad, Mildred Abels of Dike, a sister, Lou Fink of Garwin; two brothers, Turner of Rochester, Minn. and Carey of New Castle, Ind. Also there are six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
