Enno Stork Dies In Grundy Hospital

Enno Stork died last Wednesday night at 11:35 at the Grundy hospital, where he had been a patient for eleven days. Death was due to cancer. He was in failing health during the past year. Had he lived until December, he would have been 70 years old.

Enno Stork was born on a Lincoln township farm and he grew up there. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Stork. He and Anna Sauter were married at Carroll Feb. 3, 1934, and engaged in farming until 10 years ago when they moved to Reinbeck.

Mr. and Mrs. Stork had no children. Two sisters and his wife are the only surviving members of his family. The sisters are Mrs. Swier Cannegeiter and Lydia Stork, both from Grundy Center.

He was a veteran of World War I and a part of the American Expeditionary Force in France for a year. His continued interest in this experience kept him an active member of The American Legion and Commander of World War I Barracks 1418 for 2 years.

Upon moving to Reinbeck in 1934, he united with the First Methodist church and continued active and faithful as a church member for 30 years.

Funeral services were Saturday afternoon at the Methodist church in Reinbeck. Burial was in the Reinbeck cemetery.
