Mrs. Glen Sheller Dies In Hospital
Mrs. Glenn Sheller died on Wednesday, June 10, at the Grundy hospital. Death was due to a complication following a gall bladder operation. Prior to her late illness she had been in fair health. She was 69 years old. The body was taken to the Ferree funeral home where funeral arrangements were made. Services were at 1:30 Saturday afternoon at the Ivester church with Rev. C. A. Albin officiating. Burial was in the Sheller cemetery.
Ruth Mae Sheller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schwab, was born August 5, 1894, and resided there all of her life. She grew up in Melrose township. She was married to Glenn Sheller December 25, 1913. The couple resided on a farm in Melrose township all of their married life.
Surviving are the husband, one son and four daughters. The son is Charles H. Sheller of Eldora. The daughters are Mrs. Ora Morland, Lucas, Iowa; Mrs. Wayne Hess, Pipestone, Minn.; Doris I. Sheller, at home, and Mrs. Merlin Frantz, McPherson, Kansas.
There are 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Music at the service was by Russell Kruse and Clarence Hogle. Flower attendants were Mrs. Tom Reeder and Mrs. Glenn Button.
The pallbearers were Glenn Button, Fred Draper, Basil Snyder, Clarence Hogle, Harold Hogle and Tom Reeder.
