Fred Fluth Dies in Allen Memorial Hospital Sunday

Fred Fluth, 76, died Sunday in Allen Memorial hospital in Waterloo following surgery. Mr. Fluth was born in Grundy county, August 20, 1878, and spent his entire life there. He was a well known farmer and breeder of purebred Hereford cattle.

The Fluth home is seven miles southeast of Ackley.

On April 6, 1899, he and Laamka Snittjer were married. Mrs. Fluth survives him, as well as a son, Charley and a daughter, Susie, both at home; and a sister, Mrs. Everett Krull of Buffalo Center.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Eastfriesland Presbyterian church, following prayer service at the home. The Rev. C. E. Siemsen was the officiating minister. Burial was in the church cemetery.
