Foot Infection Results In Death Mrs. Helmer Kruse

Mrs. Helmer Kruse died at the Allen Memorial hospital at Waterloo about midnight Thursday night. Ten days before she stepped on a piece of glass at her home and cut her foot. She did not regard the wound as being serious until infection set in a few days later. On Tuesday of last week she was taken to the hospital. She had an attack of appendicitis a short time after she reached the hospital.

Funeral services were held at the home 2 1/4 miles northeast of Wellsburg at one o'clock Monday and later at the Reformed church. Owing to the absence of the regular pastor, Rev. Wm. Landsiedel, Rev. A. C. Kruse from Kesley had charge of the funeral services. Burial was in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Mrs. Kruse would have been 57 years old had she lived until the 17th of this month. She spent her entire life in this locality.

Surviving are the husband, one daughter Fannie, two brothers, John and Ed Brower, and one sister, Mrs. Will Bettenga of Grundy Center.
