Services Friday For Mrs. Henry Schipper

Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon at the 2nd Chr. Reformed church in Wellsburg for Mrs. Henry Schipper, who died in the Long Nursing Home in Hampton on June 7th. There was a 15-minute service at the funeral home in Hampton before the body was brought to Wellsburg. Services here were conducted by Rev. John Olthoff. Burial was in the Reformed church cemetery.

Mrs. Schipper's death was due to a heart ailment and advanced age. She was a patient at the Hampton Nursing Home the past three years. She would have been 85 years old had she lived until next September.

Henry Schipper and Hinderje Geertsma were married March 22, 1896, in The Netherlands. The couple came to this country in 1910 and lived at Parkersburg, Kesley and Sinclair as well as at Wellsburg.

Her husband died in 1946. Four sons and one daughter also preceded her in death.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Abel Vander Laan, in The Netherlands; Harm Schipper, of Hampton; Mrs. Jake Hemmen, Dumont, and Mrs. Jake Tuinder, Austin, Minn. There are 13 surviving grandchildren in this country and 8 grandchildren in The Netherlands.
