Harm H. Rust, Wellsburg Farmer, Buried Saturday

Harm H. Rust passed away at his home Wednesday, Dec. 8, at 4:20 p.m. at the age of 61 years, 7 mos, and 18 days. His death was due to cancer.

Mr. Rust was born on April 20, 1893 at the home place two miles east of Wellsburg of Harm and Swante Rust. Here he lived the greater part of his life and here he also died.

Mr. Rust served in World War I. Some years after his return he married Margaret Cullen on March 14, 1923. They were blessed with three children, John, Susie and Virginia.

His parents, his wife in 1949, his sister, Mrs. Garret Naber in 1921 all preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn his three children, John at home, Mrs. Louis Ubben at home, and Mrs. Harold Bode of Austinville, Iowa; two grandchildren, Richard Lee Bode, Leslie Ubben, his two brothers, Aise of Wellsburg, Henry of Grundy Center, and one sister, Mrs. Harm Pennings of Wellsburg.

The military services were conducted by Ashing Jaspers Post of the American Legion in the Reformed church of Wellsburg with the Rev. George C. Poppen officiating. Interment was in the Reformed Church cemetery.

Pallbearers were Herman Ruter, James DeNeui, John Ohling, Jake A. Peters, Lubbert Meyer and Menno Venenga.
