Obituary
John W. Lindaman, the third son of William and Rina Lindaman, was born on a farm north of Wellsburg on Feb. 4, 1896, and passed away on June 2, 1953, in Grundy County Memorial Hospital. He reached the age of 57 years, 3 months, 29 days.

He spent his entire life in this community, where he was raised in a Christian home and church. During World War I he was called to serve as a soldier in the armed forces of our country until the end of the war when he entered into the occupation as a farmer.

On Feb. 19, 1920, he was united in marriage to Miss Margaret Beving. This union was blessed with one son, Wendell, and one daughter, Miriam.

Already as a young man he made confession of faith in Jesus Christ and joined the Eastfriesland Presbyterian church. When Mr. and Mrs. Lindaman last moved on the farm near Wellsburg, they joined by transfer to Wellsburg Reformed church, which they attended and supported faithfully. The deceased, according to his testimonies, was kept in the faith during his days of severe trials of affliction.

The immediate cause of his death was uremic poisoning. There were other ailments with which he had contended, but he bore his burdens with the help of God's grace.

He leaves to mourn, his bereaved and faithful wife; his son, Wendell, of Wellsburg; his daughter, Mrs. Glenn Robertson, of Cedar Rapids; 6 grandchildren, 2 brothers, Henry of Cedar Falls and William of Ackley; 3 sisters: Grace, Mrs. Fritz Frerichs, Grundy Center; Mabel, Mrs. Varlo Gibson, Sac City; Dena, Mrs. Kenneth Eldred, Iowa Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
