Mrs. H. Lutterman Died Sunday

Mrs. Henry Lutterman died Sunday afternoon at 3:15 at her home south of Wellsburg. She had been in failing health the past year. She was afflicted with cancer. She was at hospitals several weeks for care and relief.

Funeral services were held at the home at one o'clock Wednesday afternoon and later at the Reformed church in Wellsburg. Rev. Edw. Jurgens was the officiating pastor. Burial was in the cemetery adjoining the church. Mrs. Lutterman would have been 73 years old had she lived until next November.

A Native of Germany
Mrs. Lutterman was a native of Germany. She was born in Dornum, Ostfriesland, Nov. 17, 1879. Her maiden name was Annie Siebrants. In 1906 at the age of 27 she came to America and Grundy county. She came alone and she came to this locality. Her sister had come here earlier. The first three years she resided in this country she was employed at housework. On April 9, 1908, she and Henry Lutterman were married. They began housekeeping on the farm south of Wellsburg which remained their home continually. They were married 44 years before the date of Mrs. Lutterman's funeral service. Both Mr. and Mrs. Lutterman were members and regular attendants at the Reformed church in Wellsburg.

Surviving are the husband, one son, Herbert, and three daughters. The daughters are Mrs. Louis Ulferts, Portage, Wisconsin; Mrs. Henry Ascher, Wellsburg; Mrs. Merl Johns, Ackley. There are 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. One sister, Mrs. Hilda DeBuhr, resides at Rockford, Iowa.
