Mrs. Pete Peters Dies At Nursing Home Wednesday

Mrs. Pete Peters passed away at the Fauskee Nursing Home in Worthington, Minn. on Wednesday, December 13, around 7 p.m., following a prolonged illness. She was 85 years, 11 months and 18 days.

Mrs. Peters was born Dena L. Doyen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Doyen (nee Johanna Neessen) in Wellsburg on December 25, 1881. On June 17, 1903, she was married to Pete Peters. Following their marriage they lived in Wellsburg for 4 years, they then moved to Bigelow, Minnesota where they resided for 5 years. In 1912 they moved to Worthington, Minn. Mr. Peters passed away on June 19, 1964.

Those who preceded her were her husband, 1 son, Harold Peters, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Aileen Watson of Worthington, Minn. and Mrs. Phyllis Welch of Redwood City, Calif.; 4 grandsons, Jack Watson of Round Lake, Minn., Peter Welch of Concord, Calif., David and Mark Welch of Redwood City, Calif.; 1 brother, John Doyen, Sr., of Wellsburg, 1 sister, Mrs. Louise Hileman of Waterloo and 4 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington.

Graveside services were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Wellsburg Reformed Church Cemetery. Rev. Wolbrink was in charge.
