Rites Held For Robert Larson

Robert A. Larson, 58, passed away at his home in Chula Vista, CA, on Wednesday, December 19.

Services were held on Saturday, December 29, at 10:30 at the Wellsburg Reformed Church, with Pastor Verlyn Boone officiating. Inurnment was held in the church cemetery, with Amvet Post number 91 conducting Military Rites.

Robert, the son of Seth and Madeline Paul Larson, was born on March 8, 1932, in Walford, IA. He grew up in the Wellsburg area, graduating from Wellsburg High School in 1950. He was enlisted in the U.S. Navy for fourteen years as an electrician.

He was united in marriage to Eileen Jones. They had two daughters, Theresa and Roberta. On March 26, 1960, Robert was united in marriage to Fannie Gelder. They made their home in Chula Vista, CA, where he worked as a barber-hair stylist for 14 years. Robert and Fannie raised their two sons, Lon and Jon, in Chula Vista.

Mr. Larson was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Seth.

He is survived by his wife, Fannie of Chula Vista, CA; two sons, Lon Eugene of Chula Vista, CA, and Jon Eric of El Cajon, CA; two daughters, Theresa Larson, and Roberta Velut of San Diego, IA; one granddaughter, Lana Velut, and one brother, David Larson, of Buffalo, MN.

A memorial fund has been established.

The Doyen-Abels Funeral Home in Wellsburg was in charge of the arrangements.
