Rites Tuesday For Kelly Sue Riekena Victim Of Accident

Funeral services were held Tuesday for Kelly Sue Riekena, 13-month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harlyn Riekena of Eldora, who died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

The child was the second victim of a two-car accident last Friday morning 3 1/2 miles west of Wellsburg.

Mrs. Riekena remains in serious condition at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital with multiple injuries suffered in the same mishap.

Rev. Bernard Visscher was in charge of services for the child, which were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Emery Riekena home here and at 1:30 in St. Paul's Lutheran Church northeast of Wellsburg.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

Survivors include the parents and one brother, Kent. Other survivors are the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Koch Jr., maternal great-grandfather, William Koch Sr.; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Emery Riekena; paternal great-grandparents, Mrs. Mary Riekena and Mr. and Mrs. Henry B. Primus, and paternal great-great-grandmother, Mrs. Benjamin Primus.
