Earl Cooley Died In Minn. Buried In Wash. Twp. Cem.

Earl Cooley, 84, passed away in a hospital at Deer River, Minnesota on Thursday night, Oct. 21 of pneumonia and complications of age. He was the son of the John Cooleys and was born on March 18, 1881 in Illinois.

He was married to Floy Powell in 1904. They lived in Morrison for a short while and then moved to Minnesota. He is survived by two sons, Roy of Fresno, Calif. and Wilson, address unknown. One sister Mrs. Elda Stout lives at Macon, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, three infant children, two sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services were held at Deer River on Monday morning and the Engelkes Funeral Home of Grundy Center brought the body to Morrison where graveside services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning in the Washington Township cemetery with Rev. Harold Brockus of Reinbeck officiating.
