Forrest Lahue Services Held

Forrest C. Lahue, 70, of 902 16th Avenue S.W., a longtime Cedar Rapids resident, died at 3:30 a.m. Friday, November 1, 1991, in Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. He was born June 14, 1921, at Vinton to W. R. "Dick" and Joanna Brody Lahue. He married Elise Koch at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wellsburg and they made their home in Cedar Rapids.

Mr. Lahue served overseas with the Army during World War II and worked for Rock Island Railroad and F.M.C. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Cedar Rapids. He also was a member of the American Legion; Veterans of Foreign Wars; Disabled Veterans and past member of Eagles and Moose Lodges.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are his mother, Joanna Lahue of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Charlotte Petersen of Waverly and a sister-in-law, Charlotte Koch of Cedar Rapids and nieces and nephews.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, November 4, 1991, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Wellsburg, Iowa. The services were conducted by Rev. Richard Dowling. Evening Prayer Services were held at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 3, 1991, at the Murdoch-Linwood Chapel at Cedar Rapids conducted by Rev. Daniel Kolander of First Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids.

Pallbearers were Dallas Koch, Darrell Koch, Don Rouse, Harlyn Riekena, Bill Janssen, and Rollin Primus.

The burial service was held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery.
