Funeral services for Mrs. Albert Kruse were held Tuesday afternoon at the Presbyterian church at Steamboat Rock, Revs. Sizzler of that church and the Rev. F. W. Engelke, pastor of East Friesland German Presbyterian church conducted the services. Burial was in the cemetery of the East Friesland church in German township. The deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Hinrichs; she was one of eleven children. Her parents were among the older of our residents; their deaths occurred several years ago, but she is survived by other members of the family. The sisters are Mrs. Sam Janssen of Hampton, Mrs. Fred Ludemann of the Cleaves neighborhood, Mrs. J. J. Ludemann of Cleves, Mrs. E. Knock of Holland; Sophie, Tena living at Sidney, Nebraska; the brothers are Sam Hinrichs, Andrew, Guy and George. She died following an operation which was performed in a hospital at Marshalltown. Her mother, Mrs. Hinriches, died in 1929.

Mrs. A. Kruse Dies Following Operation At The Hospital

Mrs. Albert Kruse died at the Deaconess hospital in Marshalltown Saturday morning following an operation for gallstones the day before. Death resulted from a weak heart. Mrs. Kruse had been sick but a few weeks. She was taken to the hospital for an examination Thursday and the operation was performed the next day.

The remains were brought to the home three miles east of Steamboat Rock on Saturday. Funeral services were held at the home and later at the Presbyterian church at Steamboat Rock. Burial was in the cemetery adjoining the Engelke church in German township.

Mrs. Kruse, whose maiden name was Martha Heinrichs, was born on a farm near Cleves and she grew to womanhood there. For several years the family have been living on their farm a half mile west of the Grundy-Hardin line.

Surviving relatives are the husband and four sons. The oldest of the boys is 15 and the youngest is 4.

Other relatives are two brothers, Andrew Heinrichs and Samuel Heinrichs, and two half-brothers, George and Guy Heinrichs. There are four sisters, Mrs. Fred Lutterman, Mrs. Sam Janssen, Mrs. John Lutterman and Mrs. Eilert H. Knock.
